Thanks for your kind comments. It was taken yesterday - it's the flower buds of the bay tree. I was really surprised to see them as the bush was covered in snow just a short time ago.

I thought it was poke berries. These are beautiful dramatic colors. Kinda looks like the May thread of the month you put there.
